SCHOOL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR ALL FAMILIES: We are adding text message capability to our SchoolMessenger notification system. This system currently is used to send out phone messages and emails to alert parents of weather delays/closures, school emergencies, etc. New this year is the ability to receive these notifications via text. On Friday, August 26th at 10:30 am, all SMS capable phone numbers that Brookfield has on file will be sent an "opt-in" text message. In order to receive future notifications via text, you need to reply "y" or "yes" to the text message sent on Friday. What We Are Learning:

Now that we have learned all about our school, we will be learning all about ourselves! Students will learn about their bodies and their families! We will be doing various art projects, science projects, and readings to learn about all of the unique and special qualities that make us, us!

Be sure to check your child's classroom to see their awesome art and activities for this unit, as well as to get ideas for books that you can read at home that facilitate continued learning at home.

A Few Important Reminders:

  • Please apply sunscreen prior to drop off each morning. We will reapply in the afternoon.
  • Please label all of your child's belongings with his/her first name and last initial.
  • We are an allergy-aware campus, and as such, please no nut products of any kind.
Thank you all for your continued support!

Anyone visiting the campus during school hours must enter school through the front gate and check in with front office personnel. The Fourth – Eighth grade students enjoyed an outdoor educational experience at Project Discovery at Sky Tavern. Students participated in team-building challenges as they navigated through a ropes challenge course. This was a great way for all of our students to work together and get to know each other better. Join us at this Friday's assembly to hear what they did!

We make every attempt to accommodate children with special dietary needs, as well as to provide healthy treats for all of our children. To help us accomplish this goal, we would like to suggest an alternative to sugary birthday treats. Some suggestions might be a party favor, an arts and craft project, or a donation of a favorite book to the classroom or library in your child's name. Healthy treats such as a fruit or a veggie tray might also be considered. Before planning birthday recognition, please check with the teacher as it will be scheduled during the last few minutes of the day. Thank you so much for your understanding.

We also encourage parents to join PTA and volunteer for the Barista and Popcorn stands. These are fun ways to spend time at the school, meet other parents, and get to know the students.
