TOYS ON CAMPUS: Please note that students should not bring toys or trading cards to school, even to the after-school program. We have had several students lose or damage toys and trading cards over the last few weeks, so we need to reiterate our policy of keeping toys off campus. This includes Pokemon trading cards as many tears have been shed over lost cards recently. The school and staff cannot be responsible for items that may break or disappear and teachers reserve the right to confiscate any items being used in class at inappropriate times.

Make sure you join us for each Elementary / Middle School Friday Assembly at 8:30 am to hear about all of the great events planned for our school. Wendy Greene will be there immediately following assembly to offer relaxing chair massages to help support the PTA (suggested donation of $10). Reserve your spot in the front office today!

INVENTION CONVENTION – GET YOUR SCIENCE BOARD NOW!: Each student will submit a three-sided display board except Pre1st and 4th Grade. Pre-1st will present on one board and 4th Grade projects are provided by the school on life-size sheets of paper. We will have a limited supply of science boards for sale in the office for your convenience of $5.00 each. These boards can be purchased at Target, Wal-Mart, and Michael's.

All Brookfield Elementary and Middle School students will be participating in an exciting event. All families are invited to join us for our "Art and Science Night" on April 27th at 4:00 pm. Students will be displaying their inventions or science experiments and reports. Brookfield's Annual Expo combines many skills your child learns at Brookfield. New this year, we will combine and display both your student's art and invention.

Look for information coming home from your student which will explain the step-by-step guide to creating his or her own inventions or science experiment. Please go over this information with your child to make sure you, your child, and your child's teacher are on the same agenda regarding timelines, expectations, and deadlines for his/her project. If you have any questions, we recommend you ask your student's teacher for clarification as early as possible.

We have an EXCITING contest starting! All students from Pre-1st to 7th Grade are invited to enter a design contest for the 2017 Jog-A-Thon T-shirt! Please submit an 8 1/2 x 11 sized paper drawing showing your school spirit! Please keep the lines thick and clean so the design can be easily screen printed, and keep the theme Brookfield-related (preferably Jog-A-Thon related!). Please make sure students sign their names on the back of the paper to keep our vote anonymous. The winner will be recognized at the start of next school year and will have his/her design forever memorialized on the Jog-A-Thon shirt! Mr. Sherven has already placed his entry in the contest, so we hope your drawing can beat his (it can).
