To our parents who are active-duty military or those with children under the age of 7, the deadline for this quarter's ESA enrollment period is quickly approaching – Thursday, March 31st. ESA (Education Savings Account) is an account established to provide state funds to pay for approved education expenses for qualified students. This program's main purpose is to provide options for parents to choose freely how and where to educate their children with a grant from the school. For more information, visit http://www.nevadatreasurer.gov/SchoolChoice/home/ .

There is still time to purchase tickets for Brookfield Family Night with the Reno Bighorns. Join fellow Brookfield families on Saturday, March 26th for basketball and family fun! Doors open at 6:00 pm, and the Bighorns take to the court at 7:00 pm against the Idaho Stampede at the Reno Events Center located at 400 North Center St. in downtown Reno. Center seats are $10/ticket with $5/ticket coming back to Brookfield School. For more information and to purchase tickets, contact: Justin Sawri at 775-473-2679 or jsawri@renobighorns.com .

We would like to invite all of our parents to our upcoming spring events. Every Tuesday during the month of April starting at 8:00 am, join Administration for coffee during our Tuesday Talks in our office at Main Campus. This is a time to meet, catch up, and fill us in on your year so far and what you are looking for in next year. Then, on Thursday, April 14th, we are hosting a Parent Mixer at our Middle School location from 5:00-6:30 pm. Join your friends and make some new ones over a drink and appetizers. The event will be catered by Roundabout Catering, who will begin serving as our Hot Lunch vendor on April 18th. Come for a taste of their great food!

Beginning Monday, April 18th, we will be using a new Hot Lunch vendor, Roundabout Catering. We are very excited about the new food and invite parents to our Parent Mixer on April 14th to sample their food! Join us at the Middle School campus.

Congratulations to Mrs. Gookin's class as they were honored by the Young Poets Collection. Thirteen students' poems were selected for inclusion in the Young Poets Collection for 2015-2016. The Young Poets Collection is designed to provide an opportunity for children to share their creative work with others and further the enjoyment that writing can bring into their own lives. Poems were selected for their creativeness, use of language, and appearance. Great job to Krishna K., Ryan S., Adie B., Cricket P., Jaxson S., Nadia F., Keanu T., Zoey B., Stella D., Ethan C., Sarah R., James B., and Carly K.

Adie B. is not just an incredible poet, but a beautiful writer. Adie was our school winner in the Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest for School Grade students. She will advance to the next round of competition to the city and state levels!
